Birthday! and first night home!

At 2 am on August 16th i turned over in bed... suddenly i felt a lot of pressure and decided to go pee to help make it feel better. the same things i had done several times with the braxton hicks but this time when i stood up i had to brace my self cus i was in enough pain walking took efffort.  After giving myself a couple seconds i went in and went pee and come back to bed where i sat down and waited to see if this was more false labor or if it would come back.after 3 or 4 more pains i woke kevin and asked him to help me time them.

they started at 10 mins apart, then moved to five and soon they where 3 mins apart....... that was after an hour and a half of timing. so we gathered the last few things and went to the hospital. We arrived at the hospital at a little after 4 am. we checked in at emergency and where escorted to the ob unit. i walked to the unit. they cheaked me and i was 6 cms and 95% effaced. the pain was stil barable so i took a soak in the jacuzzi tub and prepaied to wait a little longer to get an epidural. the tub relaxed my back and my body felt great in the deep warm water. the pressure in my belly was increasing though and after 20 mins give or take i was out of the tub. (i beileve at this point my membrane ruptured ( my water broke). the presure was intense and i was now in tears and ready for my epi. the midwife cheaked me and i was almost complete.........

Waiting for medicine tok forever! and i didnt get my epi either there was literally no time. they gave me a quick spinal but it didnt really get its chance to work so much either. just made me ichy. by now i was begging to push. so i pushed and screamed and cried and shook for 36 mins and with a little help from an episiotomy ( a little cut the doctor makes) they tossed a gorgous 8lbs 2 oz slimmy baby on my chest.

She was born after only 4 hrs and 36 mins of labor at 6:36 am! unfortunalty cus she was born so fast. They didnt have time to get some antibiotics into me that they needed to for group b strep. ( an infection that is harmless int he vagina but can cause issues for new borns) And she apparently got quite the rush and had a little too much goop go down her throat and it took her awhile to get use to the whole breathing really good idea. So they had a few extra people in the room trying to get her going and making sure she was okay.( she was and still is)

After she got her self all adjusted to life they finally brought her to me and we nursed quickly and she latched on really well ( and still is and her favorite thing in the world is my breasts). After i was all stitched up from my little cut we all got to spend a little time as a family and things calmed down. My mom who was present at the birth as a second support person got to give Rose-lynn her first bath, and took her footprints for the suvanier birth certificate! i thought that was very special.

Sadly because of my episiotmy and the risk of the group b strep to Rose-lynn we had to stay a little longer in the hospital and spent 2 painfully uncomfortable nights in the crowed little room.

Last night ( which was rose-lynns edd) was our first night home and it went way better then what i expected. At first rose-lynn wouldnt sleep on her own she had to be close to someone at all time lol or nursing! but she did finally sleep for a little over 2 hrs in the bassinette all by her self and i finally got some much needed good sleep.  we only changed her pjs 2 lol and she is not a big fusser at all.

well thats all for now more stories to come but i need to get rest and do motherly dudties :) we love you all and are so glad to have your support and love in our lives.
